A gypsum based stone; it is easy to carve and finishes beautifully with a matte or polished gloss finish. Each piece is checked for fractures before shipping to ensure a quality product is delivered.
Some varieties of alabaster are more translucent than others. It is used by both beginner and professional carvers because of its versatility and its wide range of colours.
Our company carries about 75,000 pounds of inventory at any given time. Pieces range in size up to 2,000 pound blocks. Most colours are available at all times.
We carry Italian Alabaster in Opaque White and Crystal White.
ALABASTER VARIEIES
We provide a number of unusual and varied stones in a wide range of colours. Some of these are better suited to experienced sculptors.
